Ok so I got this problem for about two weeks now. Started playing as Aegon taking Essos and establishing the Republic. It crushed after some 70 years in-game. Tried to reload autosave but it keeps crushing at around the same time.
Tried again with the kingdom system, as a read Republics might be unstable, but it crashed even earlier.
I have tried recently playing as House Arryn in Bleeding Years bookmark and again, het a crash at 8030-ish.

So am I getting my savegame files corrupted after certain point? Has this issue been adressed before and, hopefully, fixed?

Hace you only tried the newest autosave? Because I have similiar problems, but most of the time it´s enough to load the older or oldest autosave to play on beyond the crash date.

I also encounter the same issue every game. Would using quick saves/regular saves at certain periods instead of just autosaves be a solution?

It would, but it will eventually happen again.

Would something drastic like say, deleting all the delayed events in the save file do the trick? Then you wouldn't lose time, you'd just get event chains not finishing.
Has anyone tried anything like that?

In the other forum, one of the devs posted a hotfix file that seems to fix the crashing issue for me.

Can you please tell us where to find that thread/post with the hotfix? I looked through the unmentioned forums and didn't find anything.

It's a really annoying problem. It is fixed by loading an earlier autosave, but that's lost progress every time it's done.

EDIT: Confirming that it's the thing posted by the above poster. The thread is in - "Board index‹A Game of Thrones for Crusader Kings II‹Bug Reports", called "Repeatable CTD", the hotfix was given on 20 May 2015.

Well I´ve been able to play for ~50 years now on the Bleeding Years scenario as Aegon. Seems the game is not crushing, at least not repeatidly in the same date. Been saving every two or so years (autosave is activated at 6 months ratio, but I try not to use it). So far so good. Not sure why.

Apply the provided hotfix and you won't need to worry. I played quite awhile through 2 playthroughs with no issues whatsoever after applying it. The crashes were related to plots and event chains activated from them I guess.

And crashing, not crushing, lol.
