The title speaks for itself. I know there are at least two files concerning traits, but since they are all together inside a bmp, I was wondering how does the engine separates them, or if just adding another image (besides editing the txt files) would be enough.

Am not too hopeful though ;_;
 
Deus Vult added three user_defined traits (user_defined_a to user_defined_c), these can be used to add new traits. You will need to add effects for them, add a name for them, add event files to give them to characters, and edit the traits.bmp file so they appear as something else than A, B, C.
Some mods use these new traits, like the vampire mod, and Veld's TASS.

It is not possible to add new traits beyond this, unless an existing trait will be replaced.
(This was done by Paradox itself for the 1.05 patch to add a few new traits, that later with DV were created for real.)
