Can't attach a power cable to extractor. W\hat gives????

First game. I can't hook up any consumers. Concrete extractor is one. It turns yellow when I want to attach the power cable but it never attaches. Building still says its not hooked up.

Has the cable actually been built? Is it attached to the energy supplier?

I've had no problems with this at all.

I believe that yellow indicates you're trying to place the cable *on* the building. This won't actually work since the cable you can lay *is* also a building. You need to lay cable to a hex *right next* to the building.

You'll notice a very small cable then begin drawn actually making the connection.

I figured it out. The trick is start running a cable from the building to an existing cable. I had been trying to run the cable into the building.
