Ever since the newest update I cannot get Stellaris to launch through either the Microsoft Store or Xbox app. I cannot launch the .exe and the pdx launcher does not load. I cannot give myself permissions for some reason to launch the .exe, options are greyed out

Appears to be the same as this problem

This isn't on the Xbox console though. This is on my PC. I'm just using the Microsoft store on my PC. From everything, I can tell it seems to be that I do not have the correct permissions on the Stellaris files within WindowsApps, but I cannot give myself those permissions despite being the administrator. The game ran perfectly fine before the 3/15 update, but now I can't get the pdx launcher to load without it instantaneously crashing

Sorry, that was the wrong link:

Yes, I am actually having that exact same problem. I actually commented on that thread and found out both of us are dealing with the same thing with no way to fix it (that we can find). I had contacted Microsoft but I have yet to get a response, so if there is anything at all you can do to try and help me fix this I will take it.

I've fixed my installation by uninstalling the game from the previous default location c:\program files\windowsapps\ , and installing it under one of the the offered options D:\Xbox Apps\ (I'm pretty sure C:\XboxGames would work too). Most likely the launcher has an issue accessing c:\program files\windowsapps\ , which MS do lock down pretty hard, and I guess they've learned that lesson and moved the games to somewhere accessible by normal users.

Although why only this game seemed to be affected I have no idea.
