can't load game! help!

hi there,

can anyone help me with this one? i've been playing eu2 on my gf's laptop. i installed it and then patched it to 1.05, and then started a game which i've saved, and now want to continue on my own pc after having moved it off hers. i've installed eu2 again and patched it. whenever i try to load the savegame it stops loading midway and nothing happens.

if i try to start a new game eu2 works. i've also tried loading the save game and playing as another nation but then it just crashes.

oh btw both systems were xp pro.

Did you open up the .eug file and have a look? The last half is just blank, no text at all. Check out the original file on your gf's machine, if it is OK you just had a file corruption in copying it. If it is corrupt too, I'm afraid you're stuffed, although if you had autosave on you could revert to the previous one, that should be OK.
