I read the sticky before posting and asnwered all the questions I could.

I was trying to research Improved Air carrier, after starting it the team actually said they were researching basic close air support. When looking at the tech menue itself Improved Air Carrier was indented and yellow like it was being researched, and Close air support was blue like it was available to be researched. I decided to allow the Close Air support to finish and see what happened. When it reached what would have been 100% close air support was not researched, nor was Improved Air carrier. Improved Air carrier is still indented and yellow and I cannot research it. No team is currently working on it. So as it stands now I cannot research any more carrier techs.

Also when laoding my save games right now I get two different error messages. Database Mismatch (type=4712/id1053055) already used! and Database Mismatch (type=4712/id1051699) already used!. I have to ignore both errors to continue the saved game.

I tried to use the editor to give me the tech to pass the issue; I managed to aquire the tech however it still wont let me build the newer carriers.

Are you playing with "Tech Team Take-over" turned on? This sort of bug crops up quite often, if you use that option.

Yes it is on. Is there a way to fix this error since its common, meaning can I get access to these techs again or am I doomed to not be able to build larger than a lvl II carrier?

The error is now included in your save-file. It cannot be fixed without editting the save (in Notepad). I never play with TTT-O, exactly because of this bug.

In the future I will be sure to turn that option off. I didnt even want it on in the first place, it was like that from a MP game I played.

I guess the fix is that I will just build the carriers I can, then each time one finishes I will use the editor to upgrade them to the proper tech level.
