Can't run the game, mods or not, 3.6 or 3.5 rollback.

I've done everything I can think of. Tried 3.6 with no mods, still crashes on load. Rolled back to 3.5. Still crashes on load.

Edit:
I found a solution on the steam discussions. I had to erase/rename your paradox folder. All your saved empires and your personal settings are lost, but can easily create new one.

Go to:
C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\Paradox Interactive

delete or rename this folder "Paradox Interactive".

The game now runs, i have to check if any of the other reported issues arise.....

I did the above and it worked. Once.

The game fired up and ran fine.

Shut down to desktop. Now it won't load past the first load screen. I can't even get the launcher to load up.

So, go through the step you stated above. And delete all mod files. And delete all game files. Reload the game. Run file verify.

It works.

Once.

Close to desktop and restart the game. Can't get past the first load screen. Even after re-doing the above listed "fix" and going into the file directory and deleting all mods.

Update.

Seems to be fine now. No clue what I did or even if anything I did got the game to load.
I've gotten the game to load up, checked various things without unpausing, then exited 5 times. no crash. No clue if the game will be stable during play, but fingers crossed.
