Can't seem to patch game...

Hi,

I just tried to re-install EU2 on a new computer and the install worked fine. I downloaded the latest patch but on the startup scree it still says I have v1.00.

Am I doing something wrong or is the game patched and I just don't know it?

Any advice is appreciated!

I had the same problem and never could install the 1.09 patch.

Question for both of you what happens when you install the 1.09 patch.

Also it sounds like you have another install on the disk or a mod you installed changed the registry.

You could try completely removing the game from your system, following the manual uninstall instructions which you can find a link to in the self help sticky thread.
Also search your system to make sure there is not old install of Eu2 still there.

It will go through the install process with no problems. I'm positive that I don't have an earlier install or any mods as this is a brand new computer. I'll try uninstalling according to the manual uninstall instructions and try again. I'll post my results here.

Okay. I figured out my problem. For some reason, the installer wasn't reading my install directory correctly (perhpas because I have the Strategy First version??). I manually selected the correct directory and all is well now

Now I'm off to conqueor the world (or at least Africa!).

I defaults to the default folder, if you changed it in install or there was a problem with the registry the folder it shows could be incorrect for you.
