can't uninstall or reinstall HOI2 on my CPU

I was uninstalling HOI2 on my computer (operating system is Win XP ) and I stop the uninstall part way through. I went to uninstall it again and it will say that it is complete but it is still there. I try reinstalling, but I only get the options of repair and remove neither which produce the right effect. It systems to be in a program limbo and I can't get rid of it or reinstall it.
 
also I tried to remove it manually through regeditor but the file always reproduces itself when the machine is restarted. Am I missing another file? I also removed it from the uninstall files, but it still is showing up on the unistall list.
 
The sticky thread on the subject gives the details on removing it from your system.
 
If you followed all the instruction in that sticky thread, then all you have to do is insert the CD in the drive. Same as you originally did to install it.

I am having the same problem with the game, But i have windows 98, i tried to uninstall it by the way that the forum said too, but it is still listed under add and remove programs, and when i click on it, it says Repair or remove Neither work by the way :mad: , i put the disk in and it allow's me to install it, but when i try to uninstall it says please put disk 1 in, it is need to find Datacab2. or some thing like it, but the problem is, disk 1 is already in,
 
That is a different problem and has to do with a bad disk, possibly dirty or dammaged.
Try cleaning it with some glass cleaner and a lint free cloth.
If that does not work try copying the whole cd to the Hard drive and install from there.

I am not sure how to copy it to the hard Drive, i am sort new at this computer thing, But i cleaned the disk even tho there isnt a strach on it, But Now when i click uninstall, the stupid thing Install's It for about five mins. and then this Error Pops Up "Proceder Call Failed", when i checked the internet on it, they say to clean out your temp files and if that isnt in try upgrading your Install shield? Could there be something wrong with my Install Shield? maybe be out of date or something?

Could be.
Pretty easy to install the latest version.
Also make sure your windows is up to date.
There are instructions for manually uninstalling the game in a sticky thread on the subject at the top of this forum.

Hey Cast, Thanks for your help in all this mess man, Thats what it was Bad Install shield, Its out of my uninstall list, and when the auto play shows up It Has Install instead of Uninstall, This is awesome, I can finally Clean install it,

there is one other question i have, they say if you Edit your Save Game, that you can edit your research team skill to were it dont take a month of sundays to research the Tech, i guess you have to find Your country's Tag then the team, Well i cant seem to find Lithuana's Tag anywhere in there and thats the country i am,
