but i still cant uninstall it i have tried repairing it and it still whont work.

i get this message

Component transfer error
component: Core files
File group:
File:
Error: Catastrophic failure

i click ok and i get this one

an error ocurred while launching setup remote procedures call failed

Note: i have patch 1.3a

If it is giving you the option to repair, then it still thinks the game is installed.
So we are missing something in one of the steps, most likely the registry, please check that part of the sticky thread again please.

after you told me to re check it i did and it still appeared in the registry, wich is odd because i had already deleted it, i re deleteted and restarted my compputer and when i reloaded it was gone, so i tried uninstalling HOI2 again and i got the same problem so i recheked tthe registry and there it was again.

how do i delete the registry i have tried rigth cliking and selecting delete, selecting it and pressing deleted on my keyboard, and pressing edit and deleting.

each time its gone but when y try uningstalling hoi2 by the control pannel/add remove programs i get the same error and i reappears.

Also can you plz explain on the "How to Manually Uninstall HOI2" thread, the last part about the 'InstallShield Installation Information' i have found that folder but i dont see anyone marked 'Hearts' just a bunch of files whit numbers and letters and a single file called pc doctor. Maybe thats what im missing, but i have 1.3a.

Run a search on that folder to find the one you need, also check your pubishers name, and Paradox.

So it must be a registy entry we are missing.
Please run the same searchs on the regisrty.

like i said i found the registry en deleted (it disapears) but when i try to unistall i get the same messege and when i look in the registry it has reapered, is there some special way i have to delete or what?

Do not do both a manual uninstall and an auto uninstall!

Follow the procedures as outlined in the sticky thread.
please DO the search, you may have more than one registry entry by now.

Once that is done, do NOTHING else, then insert the CD into the drive the auto run should display a box with some options, please tell me what those options are?
I am interested in wether it gives the option for "repair install" or just "install"

Cancel from that window, do not select either of the two things I just mentioned, all I ask you to do is report back here what is says please.

Okay that means the uninstall was a success.
So now select install, then tell me if you get an error message pop up and what that error message is.

Well i get 2 options uninstall and repair but no option to install, so i clicked repair and i got what i whanted since the reason i whanted to unisnstall is i had version 1.3a and i wanted 1.2 so i got 1.0 and i updated it, so i was unable to install but i repaired it and that solved my problem.

thank you very much for helping me and sorry for the trouble i caused. :D

As long as it is fixed, but you just said it gave you the option to install then whenI ask you to install you say it only had the repair option?
I am confussed, but as long as it works for you and you are happy.
