Why can I not use diplomacy actions when in mp dd 1.1? Me and my buddies finallly got the game working, diplomacy works for them, they can trade etc; however, when I try nothing happens. I click okay to trade, or ok to declare war, or ok to join alliance nothing happens. the diplomatic option remains yellow as if nothing was clicked at all. Even when others offer me trade agreements or alliances and I click okay, nothing happens. Diplomacy works fine in sp, just not mp.

To test it further, next time you load your game, get the host to pause on loading, put the speed on the slowest setting, and then gradually crank it up.
The speed of the hosts connection (u/l in particular), and other players conn speeds, the pc's processor and RAM speeds, and of course, the number of people playing all effect what in game speed you can play at. It is entirely possible you are simply starting off at a speed that whilst playable in SP, is not possible in MP. In the Australian group games with DD, and regular HOI2, we typically start on very slow, let it run a few days or a week, then up the speed 1 level. After another week or so, up again to below normal. It is rare, with the (generally) low ADSL speeds in Australia, and the size of our group, for us to ever play above that speed.
I think it has something to do with my firewall. We have 3 friends playing, and all 3 of us in same area, almost no lag, but 2 of them have linksys routers, and I have netgear. For somereason I don't know how to work port triggering.
Port fowarding doesn't make a difference,
game runs smooth, we are talking on vent, and time all goes same for all of us, but they can use diplomacy, I CAN not.

The thing is, intelligence works, tech works, everything works, but the things you can do in diplomacy.
Yes, I have enough cash, the options are yellow, but when you click okay, nothing happens. Same if someone offers me alliance, I can't click okay. WHen I do click okay, nothing happens. It's like my country's diplomacy just odesn't work. I had friends play countries that I couldn't get diplomacy to work, and it works for them. Even when I start with other countries, germany, japan, any of them, I can' teven declare war or offer trade.
