Its kind of hard to explain, so I'll try to explain it in steps.
1) I put the game in the drive.
2) I hear the CD spin in the drive as it attmepts to read the CD.
3) I hear a awful screeching or grinding type sound, as if the CD is spinning too fast or out of control.
4) The drive slows down for a second, then attempts to read it again. This happens about 3 times in a row before it settles down, then I can play the game now problem.
I'm pretty sure its the CD. This happened in my DVD drive as well (but it sounded much worse, I thought I had really damaged the drive badly) and does not happen to any other game. I can't just leave it in the drive either, becaues the same problem happens on boot up.
Any ideas? Any way to play without the CD?
