CK crashes during gameplay

i bought CK for almost six months ago and i love it, but everytime i play it it crashes after a while and i have one of the best computers on the market and i downloaded the patch but still it crashes, what's the problem?

Well, you need to give more information.

Firstly, do you have 1.04a (or latest beta) patch? If not, download it and it should help your crashing.

Secondly, do you mean by crashing that the game drops into desktop without warning?
 
After answering the questions above I´d like to know if you have a save game that crashes every time? Without one it´s really hard to fix anything.
 
I have the same problem, I'm using the Beta, and yes it simply drops to the desktop without warning. I don't have a saved game that does it, its just from the start, sometimes its many years in.

to Grosshaus: yes i do..but the game always crashes sooner or later even if it is not saved but to answer your question yes.
 
Well, you usually know if you have a beta, as you need to manually install those after downloading from the forum's Public Beta section.

The most helpful kind of save is one that always CTDs (crashes to desktop) within relatively short time from starting to play with it, preferably with little to no variation on when it CTDs.

On another note, do you play on very high speed? Playing on fastest speed setting can make the game more unstable.

You can find the beta here. It does fix some crash problems, so I would suggest you try it.

Easiest way to test it is to
1. Copy the installation folder where you have CK to a new location ('CK beta')
2. Unpack the archive into the beta folder, overwriting the files.

This way you will have the regilar 1.04a version as well as a beta version...
