Short summary of your issue
Cannot declare war with hook when liege has high crown authority

Game Version
1.4.0

What OS are you playing on?
Windows

What platform are you using?
Steam

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
No

How much "pain" is this causing you?
5

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
When playing as a vassal of a liege that has high crown authority, I am unable to declare a war against another vassal, even though I have a hook on the liege.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Play as a vassal of a liege with high crown authority, get a hook on that liege and try to declare war against another vassal. There is no option to use the hook to declare the war.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
There is a sentence on the declare war popup that says "Will use the Strong Hook you have on your Liege" even though I only have a weak hook and the declare war box is unable to be clicked.

I have attached a save game
Yes

As Emperor 1997 has written, you need a strong hook in this situation.
Thanks for the reply, however I have reason to believe this is not the case. First, in game, it only says that I need a hook, not a strong hook vs. weak hook. To check this, I went back to 1.3.1 and gave myself a claim as well as a weak hook against a liege who had high crown authority. I was able to use this hook to declare war against a fellow vassal. I have attached a save.

I also attempted the same thing in 1.4.0 with a strong hook, and was still unable to declare war on a fellow vassal. There was no option to use my strong hook. I have attached this save as well.

There was nothing in the change notes to indicate that this behavior had changed from 1.3.1 to 1.4.0 so I am led to believe that this is a bug. In any case, I am still unable to declare war with a strong hook even, so there is at least a bug here.

Thank you again for your reply.

You were right - Thank you for report and your persistence in investigating this issue. The checkbox to use a hook, strong or weak, is indeed missing from 1.4 declare war window. The issue has been added to our database.
