Game crashed - now my ironman save in 1340s AD is corrupted - any way to salvage it?

Try to load the save

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
The crash occurred during a war in Estonia area, the speed was at 4 or 5.
Can the save file be salvaged or repaired?

Copy your last save into the saved game files. Rename that save into something you can remember. Try to reload the save.

Thanks for the report and thanks to @Jayvee94 for your input. Actually it's just as you mentioned, you can also see what's causing the crash in your crash logs so that would definitely help. You can find those in "\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\crashes". Try copying the last save into the saved game files and reload it.

FYI the crash folder was empty.
