Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
Participating in a crusade, I just witnessed the pope's troopstack suddenly withdrawing deeper into Egypt (to avoid a doomstack of the defender). I was curious about why the heck the AI would flee further into hostile territory that wasn't going to supply them (instead of, say, retreating across a river crossing)... turns out they weren't actually moving inland, but in-Nile.

The Pope is of Occitan culture, so I'm really confused as to why the Pope can apparently use Viking-style Major-River-Travel.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Uncertain, probably not related to the pope but a general thing?

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
