I'd really love to see more islands... maybe split up the Baleares, perhaps one or two more in the Aegean, how about the Shetlands, Orkneys, Hebrides, and Channel islands? are they important enough to merit new provinces?
Orkneys, Hebrides and Man should definitely be there, as these were contested between Norwegians and Scots (and the English re: Man) for the entire period...Originally posted by magicpiper97

Nah, Schleswig would be part of current Jylland. I was thinking of Gottorf and Dithmarschen at least (those Dithmarschians were a very unruly people then, even fighting off the Danish for some decades after a victory in the early 1500s) - north of the Dithmarschians were the Nordfriesen, but I am not quite sure of their status at that time.

Quite right. It might not be necessary. But I don't know of any provinces (maybe Iceland) which would not need splitting.
Anyone have a suggestion of which EU province(s) would not need to be divided into smaller chunks of land?![]()

Unfortenantly the Ditmarsken is a tad bit too small to be represented. However the Duke of Slesvig (or Sönderjylland) was large enough and independent from time to time. Gottorp was a castle if i remember it correctly. The Dynasty ruling in Holstein and Slesvig was latter named after that castle. That a large area would have been named Gottorp is novel to me. are you sure?

LOL. Placing Medieval-Total War close to Age of Empires already discredited that title in my eyes (I don't like click fests). Does anybody know something about Med.-TW or have a link? I'd really like to compare them.

Maybe Kaffa and Kerch also.![]()
