So, to reiterate, the only downside is development?Less dev means less money, troops etc. You can tweak dev output by editing configurables/dev_weights.txt.
Experiment and see what suits you.

Having a delayed/short age of reformation because it fired late isn't much of an issue. Age of Absolutism will start in the 1600s anyway.Question about the Reformation: I have a CK3 save I'm planning on converting in which the Catholics have done extremely poorly, and for balance (and comedy) reasons I plan on using the HRE shattering mechanic on an extremely blobbed Muslim Andalusia. As a result, there aren't going to be many independent Catholic rulers in EU4, which I know means much less reform desire will be generated. I'm worried this will delay the Reformation until far later than usual, thereby delaying the Age of Reformation and causing all kinds of problems. Does the converter do anything about this, or is there another mod I should use to avert this problem? Or should I just periodically add extra reform desire using the console?
Hre shattering has always been iffy and an experimental feature. Glad to hear you have it sorted.Had an issue where the game converted without an HRE. Maybe it has something to do with e_francia being designated as emperor before that got shattered as well? (I held both empire titles). The EU4 country that was supposed to be the emperor (d_valois) is also created without a monarch that had to be autogenerated.
EDIT: Yeah, going back into my ck3 save, and destroying e_francia fixed both issues
Please upload ck3 save and the conversion's log.txt.Hello! Big fan of the mod and have been converting saves and failing to finish them for years now. I've got a new save that doesn't appear to generate the personal deities for an organized Norse faith properly. I've decided this is going to be my first mega-campaign so naturally I've gotta figure this out.

They're a bit broken to say the least. I'm not experienced by any means with modding so I'm not having any luck figuring it out on my own. I've attached the personal deities file the converter created. If someone could help me resolve this I would be really grateful! Please help! Thank you!
Save and the log have both been attached. I've got ~20 mods installed so I hope that doesn't make things more difficult! Thanks for looking into this! Please upload ck3 save and the conversion's log.txt.
Thank you for the report. I've pushed a patch that should fix this, please update the converter and retry.Save and the log have both been attached. I've got ~20 mods installed so I hope that doesn't make things more difficult! Thanks for looking into this!
It's a normalization method. Otherwise if you have 8 ck3 provinces mapping into 1 eu4 province (eg. the scottish highlands, siberia or similar), that province would get a lot more dev, creating dev spikes. What exactly does maintain stable dev spread do? As opposed to CK3 dev system thing?
I don't know, have you tried? If it doesn't work, you can edit the mod manually to turn yourself into Rum.My friends and I are currently doing a CK3 game which we're going to convert to EU4. I am going to do a Rum game and I want to do the "Create a New Empire" decision but I'm afraid that since its a different title, the converter won't turn me into Rum which will prevent me from having their ideas and missions. Will it convert me to Rum if I took that decision to create a new empire title?
I haven't done the decision yet because I haven't fulfilled the requirements, but I just want to know beforehand in case it doesn't. Though how would I go about turning myself into Rum if the converter didn't do it? How would it work for me having to give the converter file to my friends. I've never adjusted any megacampaign files before so I'm clueless.I don't know, have you tried? If it doesn't work, you can edit the mod manually to turn yourself into Rum.

Not compatible. Is this converter compatible with Asian expansion modes that add Asia? If so, what mods are compatible?
There's a bit of RNG inside, yeah. Nothing you can do but to restart the game.So... I've accidentally overrode the mod for my current game by forgetting to change the output name in the conversion. Any ways i can fix this? I tried to override it again with the original save but all tags for non-historical nations get switched around, and who knows what else may have changed, too. I guess somehow running the same converter on the same save gives different outputs?
