I converted a game with the historic invasions mod and had the Latin Empire exist. I managed to ensure that it converted into the proper tag (LAE) but can’t get it to to have the vanilla Latin empire ideas. I’m having the same problem with the Hashashin tag, with it taking generated ideas based on the hybrid culture of the ruler instead of the HAH tag ideas, any ideas on how to rectify or fix this?

Generally, edit the ideas they are currently getting and try to exclude them from whatever ideas are taking precedence over LAE ideas. Might be their cultural ideas are firing before vanilla ideas, though to be honest this is odd and shouldn't normally happen. You should triple-check if they are indeed LAE.

Thanks, I did a little more digging and it appears that Prussian ideas are overwriting unique vanilla ideas for all Germanic culture nations that have a ruler with mil 5 or higher, I don’t know if this is intended or not or if it’s replicable or just a me problem though.

Is there anywhere I can see a full list of all supported mods with the converter? I see various mods mentioned at some point throughout patchnotes, but its uncertain what's supported in the current version
No, not really. Consider all mods that don't change the map as supported, unless they are not - which you can test with a test conversion.

By support I mean more mods that the converter explicitly takes data from and uses it for conversion, not just that it technically runs. If you wouldn't mind answering questions about some specific mods mentioned in the changelogs...

  • The RICE mod is listed as supported, but Im not too sure as to what that means. Does it mean that the new cultures/heritages introduced in RICE already have mappings, and don't need to be done manually?
  • Historic Invasions is also listed as supported. Does that mean that each tag included in historic invasions gets a predetermined tag mapped to eu4
  • Fallen Eagle has popped up a view times in the changelogs. Am I able to convert a Fallen Eagle save directly to EU4? How would that work in a megacampaign
Thanks for answering

If changelogs mention a mod, that means at some point someone (any contributor, can even be you if you desire) took the time to add mappings for cultures/religions/governments/etc for that specific mod. AFAIK RICE is fully up to date, and for the others I wouldn't know - I've never used them so it'd be best to try out a test conversion and see if there's any errors.

All mod support exclusively comes from people willing to submit patches to our mapping files so we are compatible with the mods they personally use. That's about the gist of it.

I want to convert my savegame from ck3 to eu4, but at 75% it gives me a error and in the meantime i get all warnings. I don't know what to do now.

You need to upload log.txt from converter's folder. From the screenshot though, it looks like you use a mod that alters faiths and that has odd and unsupported faith icons.

Hi! i tried to start a playthrough in eu4 but with an alt history map, so i left ck3 running while i was observing, with a mongol empire that reached all the way to france and then fell, leaving a shattered europe (i attach an image of the end game in ck3 and start in eu4) i was planning on playing with sardinia and corsica, as the ai took advantage of the small duchies and expanded through northern africa and a good chunk of western europe, but when i converted sardinia had 3 PU and owned a small amount of land in comparison with how it ended in ck3. I tried a few things to see if i could get the entire kingdom but nothing worked as it still was divided in those PU (tried changing the modifier of vassal split off in configurables but didnt work) i was wondering if there is a way to stop all the countries in europe from getting divided in PUs (not only the ones in Sardinia and corsica but the others like Castilla, Anatolikon or Norway) sorry for bad english in advance.

When a christian ruler holds two or more titles of equal tier, thatćs by definition a personal union and we split off these titles as separate entites.

Feel free to use EU4 console to tag into target country, and then use "integrate <TAG>" command to merge those PUs back in. There shouldn't be too many of those.

Ah thank you so much, i forgot about that command, i tried the annex one but obviously it lead to overextension. Will try that when i get to the pc

I'm currently playing a converted campaign as Persia with King of Kings active, and after after selecting the Zoroastrian religion missions the event to start the conversion process didn't fire. Looking into the cause I notice the mod the converter generates overloads events/FlavorPER.txt with a version of the file that predates the DLC and thus doesn't have the events from the DLC. The issue can easily be worked around by removing that file from the mod.

Thanx, the file has now been dropped.

I have a problem. Im playing a Revolutionary Spain campaing. The conversion from CK3 to EU4 went well. Ive being playing in EU4 until 1756 with no problem.

Today i deleted some old savegames in eu4 and unsubscribed from some random mods. But when i tried to continue my game (i didnt deleted the latest savefile), the launcher says that im not subscribed to the converted mod, even though i have it in my folders. Any idea how to fix this?
