hey is there any way that i can change the start date without every single ruler dying from old age? i tried both using the console as well as changing the start date in the mod files and both had the same result, 100+ year old rulers that die immediately. idealy i just want to move the clock forward like ~70 years as to have some time before standard eu4 start date, but dont want to have to play out another 100 years in either game.

EDIT: for anyone trying to do this later on, you gotta change the date in CK3 using debug mode, then convert the game. nah nvm didnt work. i assume it draws from history files, and i don't think there's a clean way to change them all at the same time. plz someone prove me wrong if u can.
Convert the save over, open the save file with notepad++ and find your ruler, you can change his birth date to 1424 (20 years old) or 1428 (16 years old)
I don't know if it will work with the base save file, if the code looks like UTTER chaos, then you have to use an autosave from Jan 1 1445.

nah so theres no issue with the 1444 start date, just wish i could have a diff date altogether. the problem with that is im playing a habsburg campaign where i spread my dynasty quite far, i would have to change the age of like 20 tags just to make sure they and heirs dont die immediately from old age and get a different dynasty.

Naah, it's a random date. All compliments always appreciated!

hey is there a way to get government reforms, for instance I form England in CK3 & convert the game & the English monarchy isn't there, or French monarchy when I form France in CK3
We assign some reforms according to statuses of kingdoms in ck3, cultures, religions and similar. You should edit the mod and assign exact reforms manually when fine-tuning the conversion.

Unfortunately ck3 doesn't have the depth of ck2 in this regard yet so our options are limited.

Thanks, another question I have is how do you transfer mission trees between nations like for example wanting to give Valencia missions from Aragons national missions

Same way you'd assign French missions to England in vanilla EU4. Copy over the missions and change the trigger so they apply to whatever nation you wish. Check the wiki for modding section for detailed instructions.

I'm converting a ver 1.11.3 save to eu4 but im getting errors at 75% done. I just updated my thing and tried but Idk what else to do beyond this.
I should note that i was using the expand world/bookmarks but i thought i had seen somewhere on here that it would just delete the provinces that are outside the CK3 vanilla game and they would be made into vanilla EU4 provinces.

For vanilla map yes, ROTW is vanilla EU4. For unsupported map changes such as More Bookmarks, no, you'll get a ton of junk.
However, the converter fails here:
2024-03-04 22:45:27 [ERROR] CK3ToEU4Converter.exe: ImageTypeNotSupported `C:/Users/fishe/OneDrive/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/mod/Bingbongbookmark//gfx/interface/icons/faith/wizrobed_protestant.dds' @ error/dds.c/ReadDDSImage/1767

Whatever mod is "Bingbongbookmark", it contains a file that's broken and can't be opened. Try fixing the file, and resaving it. Or deleting it.

yeah. I had this insane problem where 20 hrs into this save my mod wouldn't work and never showed up on disk so i had to make my own copy...... Do i have to resave the save file? or would just deleting it work?

You resave it by opening it in some dds editor and then resaving it. You delete it by deleting it. Any should work.

PSA: 1.12.1 compatibility patch has been released.

There was next to zero changes to the converter as 1.12.1 doesn't deal with EU4-related concepts.
