I have posted a similar thread in the scenarios forum but felt i needed to ask here, perhaps to get a response.

I have successfully made some amendments to this file as part of the vinland scenario without problems. I add an additional 4-5 entries and suddenly none of my changes are working.

Any clues?

Hmmm. That's gonna be a toughy.

First thing that springs to mind is whether you edited using WordPad or whether you might have tweaked it using Excel by accident? IIRC Excel adds formatting that won't work.

Failing that, go back to you last "good" saved version of the file (before your most recent changes) and then add each of those new mods one by one and test each to see if/when/where the problem happens again. That should help you isolate the issue. If you can find out which one is causing the failure then let me know and I'll see if I can figure out why.

I thought it may have been related to the fact i had begun to use "editplus" to modify my files. Thanks for the quick and concise response - i will do this and let you know my findings.

Rule 1: Stick with wordpad for colonynames.csv

Thanks for posting back here too...I'll add "editplus" to my mental list of editors that add surprise formatting. Have fun in Vinland (and be nice to those Canadians )

Beta 6 is just round the corner... you should download it and try it once we release it this weekend/early next week.

It would be excellent to have your feedback.
