I saw that Express had brough up this point a few weeks ago, but no one answered him, so I'll give it another go.

A friend and I are playing a MP CG with 1.04--since we can also talk on the phone, we learned pretty quickly that there is a slight discrepancy between our VP scores.

For example, say we're in 1490, he's Spain and I'm England--when he presses F1 for the score, he sees Spain in 1st place with 755 VP, Ottoman Empire in 2nd with 748, and England in 3rd with 738...When I press F1 at precisely the same time, I have Ottoman in 1st with 752, England in 2nd with 746, and Spain in 3rd with 740...there are also conflicting VP scores for France and Muscovy in 4th and 5th place, respectively.

The dates for the turn are synchronized, so there appears to be no lag going on, but we were rather concerned with the "floating" discrepancy in the VP totals--especially if it comes down to the end of the game, when the trash talking over the "winner" begins.

Anyone else notice these VP discrepancies???

Yeah I get the same think even when I play on 100Mbit lan... Never bothered me that much thought... It useally only differs a few points... If you want a sync just save and load. Then the game is synced so all players get same scores as he who saved.

If You pause a game, press F1, you get one figure, if You save the game, still paused, you get a lightly different one, so I guess it has nothing to do with MP or not.
