Conquistador in TI

I got the Dynamism event today as Russia, and even though I was fighting a many fronted war (I was going for an annexation of P-L), I wanted to send the conquistador to explore Siberia. To my annoyance, it appeared that he was in TI. I checked every army, and when I checked to book it said under location "Terra Incognita". I was vexed, but had a war to handle, so I ignred it. Now that all the wars are over, and I've put downthe rebellions, I want to do some exploring, but I can't seem to be able to select the conqistador, as he's in TI. What can I do?

Are you sure he is in the Terra Incognita? Not behind one other leader with a higher rank? If you look at the graphs and the military leaders (over F6), you can try to see in which province he is located.
As I saind, my guess is that he is in the stack behins another one.

TI could also mean he is in a ship, though there's also some bug that some conquistadors show up in TI.

Anyway, did you check BiBs suggestion, that he might be aboard a fleet ?

If he really is in TI, you should be able to edit the save game file and move the army into one of your provinces...

All my fleets are in port so its Impossible. I thinkI'm going to edit the save file, because it isn't fair, and I'm not cheating, only getting what's mine....

Edit: Great, he's dead.... Bah!

Xure, why not. Anyway, u should have a look at what province us listed as his current position, then look up what province that is to find out where he was after all.

Actually he can be in a fleet in port, in one of the random events that give you an explorer(I think its colonial dynamism) you get an explorer who`s aboard a ship in port. So check your fleets carefully before deciding he`s not there.

The only kind of advice not followed is good advice. If it were bad advice he'd be scrambling to take it. So next time suggest that he shave his head and that will bring his conquistador out of terra incognita.

As Russia I had 3 conquistadors show up in fleets at Ingerland [sp]. You have to disembark them and send them eastward. You do gain warships this way at least.
