How does one check what region of the world a specific nation/province is in? Specifically, I'm playing Russia. I already realize that Kazan, Golden Horde, and Astrakan are all Europe, whereas Sibir is ROTW.

I'm assuming that Crimea is also Europe, whereas Persia is ROTW. Is this correct? And what about Georgia then?

And one additional followup: from reading the BB Sticky above, am I correct to understand that DOW's on ROTW coutries NEVER result in BB, and that provinces taken from ROTW countries ALSO NEVER result in BB, UNLESS the entire nation is annexed?

So, playing as Russia with a BB of 13, looking to calm it down without imposing 52 years of peace (*shudder*), I'd be safe to first knock Sibir down to one province, and then start picking on Persia?

I've only looked at it a bit, but provence.csv in the db directory defines area/region for a provence - you can probably derive ROTW from that.

Some other country should pick up some BB while yours is reducing. Your problem is now.

I've never played Russia, but unless you are a total war monger, going slow is not a problem - 300 years is a long time. I understand the BB system hinders Russia and Turkey a lot, though.
