So I want Star Destroyers. The web is full of 3D models where the licencing etc. is such that the use in mods should be acceptable. So after some searching I finally found a way to get a .mesh file from Sins of a Solar Empire into Blender which can then export it to a .obj file which should be useable in whatever modelling package I decide to use.

But I'm new to Windows. I've always used a mac and this process requires the use of a command prompt program. When I start the program the command prompt software open in a split second and then closes with no apparent result. The readme file says that I should be able to just drag my .mesh file onto the converter and it will instantly be done. No such luck.

So rather than banging my head over this, or trying to explain what this method actually consists of I thought it would be best to post the link to the instructions I found and see if someone with more experience using these kinds of tools can figure out and share the process so that we can all indulge in all the Star Destroyer goodness life has to offer or anything else you may wish to use to expand the meager options available for ship graphic available now.

Here is the link, please post if, and hopefully how, you got this to work.
