Hello,

I have had AoD for quite some time from Direct2Drive. I noticed, however, that my game was at patch 1.02. I DL'd the 1.10 update and extracted the files directly to my folder. I believe my game works fine, however I do not know if it included all of the things updated in the previous patches.

Does directly going to the newest update include all of the old fixes/changes, or do I have to manually patch every previous update in order? Thanks in advance.

Thanks,
Tedd.

As an aside, I'm also interested in getting the Iron Cross expansion, and want to know the order of updates with regards to it as well.

then 1.11

1.11 is far from done. Once it is done it will be all inclusive.

1.10 contains everything in terms of softcoding from 1.09, but it used an executable that has some regressions that 1.08 had solved. Thus at the moment there are 2 official patches with certain advantages and disadvantages where i cannot give a clear advise which one to favour. Also there is 1.11 in development, but that is different story.

That's the problem: We mostly do not know. I tried to fix them as they were discovered.

One example I have yet to tackle is that historical leader death would use a cumulative chance to die each month in their death year. Currently they just die in january.

Afther installing AOD its best to just install 1.10 then you wont get all the extra dummy files and double pictures that was from 1.5 to 1.8.
With 1.10 you have a fresh start.

Thanks. Meaning this? AOD_111_changes03.7z

and you might also need Tsar1 file(A11).[/QUOTE]

Have not found this yet.

Also, from Pang:
In a test run with Tibet i measured what had been achieved by AI after 1079 days at 1938/12/30. The following entries show base ic/effective ic/ic spend on upgrading, reinforcement and production minus infrastructure and factories.

USA: 369/231/16.72
GER: 243/340/166.37
SOV: 213/309/37.09
ENG: 201/226/67.95

In a new install of 1.10 I am seeing ENG at 250+ effective IC on 1/1/1936, which implies far higher than 201 by end of 1938. Apparent reason is reduction of peacetime IC penalty from 50% in 1.08 to 0% (also FRA from 57% to 29%; GER at 154 looks right, as does SOV.) Can this be right?

Don't see anything about this in 1.10 changelog and cannot find 1.09.

No. The sets are designed to not need a more modern exe that as in case of A11 has some issues.

That is not right. 1.09 reduced initial peacetime penalty of UK and france to 25% and that of USA to 50%.

In 1.11 set 3 UK starts with 117/156 ic. Without peace timepenalty it would 156/156 ic, so that does not explain any 250+ ic.

Sometimes at the start of a grand campaign peacetime penalty is not calculated in for unknown reasons. It happens rarely so it is hard to hunt down this bug. In your case something completely different seems to have happened.

Here is 1.09 including changelog:
