Count of XXX is at war with some muslims. His army is leaded by the marshal (count under age) . The army successfully sieges a province and the marshal becomes count of ZZZ, vassal of count of XXX , vassal of duke of Atholl (me :) )

Now the question: is correct that a count is vassal of another count? Shouldn't the former marshal (now count) be my direct vassal ?

18/11 beta.

I had this happen too, under the latest beta, but by a totally different method. I (a King) went to war against an independent Duke (formerly a vassal of mine) and in the peace treaty, took away all of his duke titles but not his counties. (I thought this would make him a vassal count again, but it left him independent.)

However, he still had his 5 count vassals, independent along with him (with him as only a count as their liege lord.)

Was kinda weird seeing the Counts of Lisboa, Aracena, Algeciras, Alcero do Sal, and Silves all vassals of the independent Count of Tangiers and Cebta (formerly Duke of Tangiers, Tago and Sevilla)....
