What do I need to know to start a country from scratch and establish it with one province.

I tried to create a new country.
1) in the Text file i created GRE as Greyuria (just like all the other countries).
2) I copied a flag and saved in as GRE like all the other countries
3) I copied the three shields, and slightly coloured one. (I used Psov's flag. The Green I changed to Black).
4) I copied Prussias Monarch file into a new file for GRE. I changed the ID, and changed the names of the Kings.
5) I added names for possible colonies, random Leaders, Army names, and naval names (all in the appropriate files).
Going to my "modified scenerio" which is basically the "Grand Campaign" copied under a different name I made several changes.
1) I gave Prussias land to Brandenburg, and changed Brandenburg to Prussia.
2) I took Bremen away from the Hanseatic league.
3) I gave Bremen to my new country by replacing the original Prussia with "GRE", and changing all the appropriate ID's and province #'s (In this case 290 (East Prussia) to 360 (Bremen)).
This DID NOT WORK.

U can't just add tags (if only it were that easy
), u have to replace an existing one. USe the same code, but give it the name u want. U must use that tag code for everything concerning the country u wanna add. For example when u wanna add Flanders, say u use the PRU tag then u must use PRU for everything concerning Flanders.
That is a real shame that I can't create a tag.
If I use a non-European nations Tag to create my country and relocate it to Europe will my new nation have all the advantages of a European nation? or do I have to use a European tag for that?

Seeing u gave the Prussian provinces to Brandenburg and renamed that one, one of those tags should have freed up, use one of those.
Asian tags have typical asian specifics so if u want a European nation, best get a Euro tag. Just rename BRA Prussia, give PRU's provinces to BRA and use the PRU tag for whatever country u wanna create.

You can remove castille as a revolter if you want less programming. I have never seen them form anyway.
