Crach with XP

I have the french version of the game, I use the patch 1.05 and I'm on XP. Evry 30mn (sometimes 5mn) the game crach . When I install the game, it propose to me to install a new version of directX and it don't arrive to install it. The problem could come fron this? It's really boring to save evry 5mn Someone could help me?

I do think you have a problem with DirectX, so I'll make a prehemptive step and have you remove it using this tool:
http://www.directxbuster.de/index_e.html

then, go to Windows Update and download the latest service pack. It will probably ask you to reboot once that is done, so reboot and return to Windows Update.

Once there, download everything that is in the Critical section and
download everything in the Recommended section, except for "Microsoft .NET" (unless you need it; if you don't know what that is, you don't need it ).

once done, uninstall the game following this procedure:

Then proceed to reinstall the game, if it asks you to install DirectX, do it.

Also note...when you're doing the Windows upgrade you may have to reboot a few times depending on what needs to be downloaded...just keep going until you run out of things to download. It may take you a little while, but you'll probably be fine when it's finished.
