About every 3rd time I save, the game crashes. I have the newest patch for Kingmaker. Windows XP. Plenty of memory and such. The game runs great.

The only other thing I can think of is check to see which of your drivers may be out of date. An easy way to do this is with a program like DriverAgent. Run it, see all the out of date drivers, then uninstall it and try to find them yourself. Or if you are lazy, pay the small yearly fee and let them do all the work for you.
