My game crashes when exiting EU. I can save normally, but when I quit the game, it crashes and I have to reboot the system.

Any ideas, anyone?

PS UK Version 1.09, no IGC
 
If I quit the game using the "SURRENDER" button route then the desktop will freeze for several minutes. I have a sound event that will make a beep when a program is closed and this sounds and then all is ok.
Another method I have heard of is to use Ctrl+Alt+Delete then close EU down from there.
If the PC just "freezes" then leave it for a while and it may be ok.

I now use alt-ctrl-del; its much faster and easier.
