"Critical error! --- Database Mismatch..." when loading save

Playing Doomsday v1.3a. Game mid '44.

When I load my saved game a message box comes up saying:

Critical error!

--- Database Mismatch (type = 4712 / id 629008 ) already used ! ---
Do you still want to continue?

Abort Retry Ignore

Abort exits the game, Retry causes it to crash and Ignore causes the game to load up, where it appears to be playing normally.

What's going on? Will my gameplay be affected (if I continue playing with the Ignore option)?

I think you've got two units with the same ID tag somehow. You should be able to correct this by editing the save file with notepad and search for all instances of the ID. I have had the same error before and played out the games by just ignoring it (as you have stated) and that didn't seem to be a problem except that the error will occur each time the save game is loaded.

I checked out the save with Notepad and found the id mentioned a couple of times relating to US divisions loaned to me. Since I'm not sure what to change it to, and if it's not affecting the gameplay, I've left it as is and everything seems to be working okay. Thanks!
