Description

Crown authority tooltip claims all vassals pay more taxes, but actually, they don't. Originally, the effect at least made just feudal vassals pay more, but even that doesn't work in current versions of the game.

All of this happens due to the presence of both vassal_tax_mult and vassal_tax_contribution_mult in the code, which has confused your programmers and caused the wrong effects to be used. It appears that vassal_tax_mult no longer does anything, and regardless, it should have been vassal_tax_contribution_mult from day 1.

(I hope it didn't sound aggressive, because this issue is completely understandable, and it is almost fixed anyhow. :) )

Steps to reproduce

Have crown authority 3 or 4 and behold the lack of effects on your vassal tax income

Duplicate but your post seems to be more detailed and informative.

Does setting it to vassal_tax_contribution_mult fix it?

Also, does the clan tax aspect still work, too? or is that also broken?

Finally, do they pay more levies nontheless or is the extra levy contribution not working?

EDIT: Mildly off topic, but I do hope if they fix this, they revert it so it only effects Feudal vassals like it did before it broke. Having it apply to ALL vassals (So, including clans, tribals, and NPC governments like republics and theocracies?) is a bit much and homogenizes the different government types unnecessarily, especially as there's already a clan-specific clause in it. (Guaranteed minimum income no matter their opinion)

You have to wait a little for it to be effective, you can ensure it work fine by setting the multiplier to 2 and see your gold income skyrocket

This is a weird problem. Not sure if it is working as intended, or if it's something of a bug.

Crown Authority no longer increases Feudal Vassal Tax Contribution. It increases Vassal Tax. Your vassals get to pay the same amount of money, but you get to make some extra money on top of that. Look at your monthly income to see it.
