So... that's the answer to the coalitions complains? The people were wrong about less internal conflicts ;)
Well, not really.

A) This is paid content while everyone, DLC or no, will have to deal with coalitions lest they roll back to the previous patch
and
B) As I said in the other thread, adding a good mechanic does not make a separate poor mechanic good.

These new council mechanics look fantastic and I look forward to them. It does not change my opinion on the coalition mechanics as they have thus far been presented,

So, any news on potential content pack?

According to steam there is a content pack and a music pack.

Hopefully the content pack will bring in some new clothing/headgear. The west in particular is needing more variety. Not sure which new units will it add.

Shouldn't it be in base game from the very early stages of development? Isn't it all the very essence of CK2? (RESPECTFULLY DISAGREEING REPLIES INCOMING) Oh, gods.. Nevermind.

Unique hats for council members would be cool.

Screenshots don't display anything new for councillors, so I doubt that is the case. My bet would be on italian sets, since they are the most sorely missing cultural thing(they currently use iberian portraits which is silly).

That is if we actually get new portrait stuff at all(I surely hope so!)

One of the screenshots shows a new "advisor" council position. Does that position have any actual duties, or is it just a way of giving specific vassals council votes without actually making them councillors?

Because I would really appreciate a way to give specific vassals council votes without actually making them councillors.

Maybe they want to advertise the content pack separately?

I hope they are as I would love to see what you guys may do with them for the AGOT mod.

It looks exactly like that. I presume you name Advisors who can then get the standard offices.

Finally no more of that annoying graphics bug on the Council Screen.

I'm not too fond of the idea of my nitwit dukes messing up my realm laws which I take generations to build to my tastes. They're bad enough without higher crown authority, constantly starting wars with my neighbors and leaving me to fix the mess they create with all the land they conquer, upsetting the balance of power I create in my empire to keep them from having too much influence and power to challenge me.

L'État, c'est moi!

Wrong era :p We are in the middle ages. You have to accept the vassals as power in your realm.

Does this mean we can get a Magna Carta like events and Parliments?

The Magna Carta was nothing important during the middle ages. just a document which gave more power to the lords. In the game it would just lower your centralization and crown authority and would give your council more power.

I think standard councillor with no responsibility is an advisor. But those with responsibilities are considered to have positions.

This new law system opens up a whole host of intresting possibilities.

Council membership being inherited rather than selected (you can only chose which one of you advisors you want to give a certain role), who get's to vote in elective (along with inherited council membership, and only the council ebing allowed to vote coul represent the HRE after the golden bull).

And dynamic desires, if the realm for an example is big then the councillors will not want the nobility to be powerful they'll want the council to be powerful.

Also late feudal government should be like what we have no while the feudal (or as I prefer to call it early feudal) should call them like how the tribals do.

Or the law for capital wheter your relm uses a moving capital, a fixed capital or if the capital of the current title holder is considered the capital. And perhaps a way to make you council vote on a new dejure capital for our title.

This is one reason I don't stress out too much about the Hearts of Iron IV delays...so much wonderful stuff to play in the meantime :)
