So, I've had CK for a while now, somehow it got uninstalled.
Today i went to re-install it, it shows up as "Victoria" and when it is installed and I open up the game, the main menu shows up as "Unknown String wanted".

What am I doing wrong?/How do I correct this?

Thanks

I think your problem is related to you having a Portuguese version of Windows

This a solution that someone posted, here, who had the same problem

At last the answer to my problem:

1. Please uninstall your previous version of Crusader Kings if it is
already installed

2. Open the start menu of windows and click open the control panel

3. Click open â?~Regional Settingsâ?T and select English (United States)
from the Regional Options tab.

4. Select â?~Applyâ?T and close the window by pressing OK

5. Reinstall Crusader Kings

6. Once the installation is done, follow the above method to switch
the regional options back to Portuguese

Thx Typhoon & Castellon.

Now I can kick some medieval ass

Thank you so much! Switching over to English I have been able to install and play the original game and now the 1.05 patch perfectly. :D
