CTD while loading a scenario

I just reinstalled HoI 2 from scratch. I even deleted the registry keys and the install shield folder manually (from the guide on the forum).

I have put the 1.3a over the clean install, then extracted the 1.3b into the main folder and then the USSR GDE-hotfix.

Now, while loading a scenario, I get the following message:

database mismatch (type 7 / id 35660) already used! ---

It gives me the choice to "abort" "repeat" or "ignore". The first two includes a CTD. If I choose "ignore" the game loads as usual and i can play. But if i end the scenario the game immediately crashes.

I un- and reinstalled it a second time and it still pops up every time I load a scenario.

Any idea anyone?

If you just install 1.3a with no edits of any kind does it work properly?
