CTDs with China

Ok...whenever I attempt to coup Nationalist China, annex Nationalist China, or liberate any part of the Chinese Kingdoms + Mongolia it CTDs.....no message...just CTD....I've also had it happen just randomly during 1941 (usually late '41)...but by far the most have been with China

I've upgraded to the latest patch.

Any ideas as to what it could be?
