(bare with me please I'm new to complex scenario editing for EU)
1. there any way to do them? If so how? I'm referring to adding custom events with textual messages...ala the treaty of tordessilas...
for example let's say I wanna add a Saint Bartholemew's Day event or something along that lines...or a new crusade in which all christians gang up on poor old turkey.
- an actual example of an event I'd wanna know how to do is - Monarch starts a program of building/commercial development in a province and taxes go up there by 20ducats...can it be done?(no not just plain add a manufactory)
- also ability to give more complex custom missions ala let's say liberate all orthodox provinces from country X.

2.is there any way to change the stats of normal leaders for nations?

3.anyone interested in a Byzantine scenario? I'm well aware of the one already out there but this one would be different - more detailed chock full with stuff...if I can understand how to get text and custom
events that is...
(I love Byzantine history after all -btw check my Fall of Constantinople scenario for AOK if you have the game - most downloaded single player scenario for a long time :p yep shameless bragging)

3) not me sorry, the AI is to easy so i mainly play small nations. It would be great if someone would make an more complex and detalied scenario for prussia of another minor wich turned our larger.

Gen. Suvorov, I was just asking :p I'm not sure I'll truly bother to do it, since at times I think I have better ways to waste my time. Yet, I already have a monarch file, a leader file and a modified map done and I played with it various games so if I could understand the use of events properly I might actualy do something complex and post it.
But if I were to make it, you should appreciate the competition. heh, just kidddin I'm sure your new one with more people on the job would turn up immensely superior to a one man effort.
Btw regarding your scenario (don't take it 2 seriously :p I'm a purist plus an egocentric bastard(hey I admit it) it didn't sound "right" to me. First of all you have a cannon ball plunging into the Hagia Sophia and killing the Emperor...well kinda unlikely that one unless you go into total fiction. I know the map of Constantinople + the way the siege was conducted...and the main cannonade was against the landward walls...there wasn't technology good enough for a cannonball to reach Hagia Sophia. Even if the floating platforms Mehmet wanted would've become a success (which they didn't) I pretty much doubt a cannon ball would've reached the Hagia Sophia (aka I'm pretty sure it WOULDN'T HAVE) The only way would've been for the Turks to be inside Constantinople and use cannons from the streets around it...errr in that case I'm pretty sure the Emperor wouldn't have been praying inside the HS.(unless he was wounded or something, and the turks probably wouldn't have used canons on the HS in the first place)
Then there's that name...Arcadius...well...errr...pretty decent name choice for a late antiquity early middle age period...BUT not for the 15th century. (imho sort of like calling a fictional 15th century French King Veringetorix II)...
I could be wrong on both counts, I'm ready to say but I pretty much doubt it.
I wish you luck with your improved scenario. Don't worry about competition, mine will probably never happen. It'd be too ambitious in the first place and I wouldn't want to just post a mediocre scenario wich I could've done a few months ago when i first made the map, the leader and the monarch file.

(Lars, I'd be doing a fictional Byzantine scenario that would put you in charge of ONLY Constantinople in the beginning(since it'd be all that was left of the empire in this alternative history surviving the 1453 debacle), with the aim of rebuilding the empire so that would qualify as a minor)

maby but constantinople is a powerfull city and even has a CoT!
I agree that it has quite a weak start with only the turks around you but if the turks DoWs the mamelucks it is just a little back stabbing for me and voila im big. As prussia (i like them) i cant just invade poland, im not strong enough and the T.O almost never DoW.

hehe, yes I agree, I played it several times and I could always get bigger at the expense of my beloved Muslim neighbours, but that was the whole point in a way :)...I could make it way harder though...maybe give the Turks some major land tech advance...
Anyway imho you should try Granada, although you probably already did, for some minor goodness. Navara's quite interesting too although it's a bit too easy to play Spain against France or vice versa and get some provinces in the bargain.
