Hi there,
I'm having problems getting my own custom music to work in-game.
First thing is of course you need to have all the files in .mp3 format.
Second thing is you must not have any space between the letters.
We have lobby, music, peace, war.txt files which you have to modify.
All the songs you put in the Music folder need to be also listed in those 4 music .txt files right?
While others are self explanatory I don't know when is music.txt used while in the game? Can't really remember when "leavingshore" song is played, hm?
Are there any letters contained in the song names that you aren't supposed to put in those 4 txt. files?
Are there any limitations in how many songs can be in each .txt file?
I can't make the music to work in CORE mod (haven't tried if it also doesn't work in vanilla). When I enter the game the music doesn't play at all while other SFX sounds are there.
Are there any "obvious" details I've missed?
Should I maybe delete the vanilla music folder and put my own customised one on it's place instead of having it in the mod folder?
Help will be much appreciated...
*I know I can also play any music I want in the background via for example windows media player but I'm not into this kind of thing any more - want to have music properly implemented in the game itself.
