DB tinkering

Im making my own scenario, and what I am wondering... can any of the files in the DB file of EU be edited? I would like to be able to change the names of armies and navies or even add more names... but Im sure certain things cant be modified, such as number of provinces, etc... Any ideas?

Loads can be modified. Maybe try the Scenario Forum ...

Anything that's accessible through a file can be altered, including starting provinces of nations. If you mean the provinces on the map, those cannot be changed since the map is hard-coded into the game.

Use Wordpad to edit the files. Armies that you start a campaign with can be changed in the .inc (1492,1617,1700) file under the /scenario folder. You can also change the names of armies appearing during the game. This file is called armynames and is in the /db folder.

You can't add provinces, but you can change ownership of provinces. You do this in the .inc file in the Scenario folder.
It's a bit complex, try reading the FAQs or do a search on the forum.
