Quick question:

From time to time vassals are occasionaly outside of their controlling state's alliance. If another power attacks a vassal does this give you a CB against that power?

I have vassalized Savoie, and am thinking about leaving them out of the alliance next time it expires, but only if I can step in and protect them.

I'm in a similar situation as yourself: I'm playing Russia and vassalized Bohemia. I don't know the answer to your question (anybody?), but I left Bohemia out of my alliance and am gambling that it's yes (seeing as an attack on your vassal is basically an attack on your realm). :)

I once vassalised Lorraine as Austria but then they refused to join my alliance for soem reason. It cost them dearly as when France came knocking they stood all alone and were devoured cuz there wasn't much I could do.

Better keep them in ur alliance if u wanna protect them.
