They don't even need to do that. If they release one a week they'll be done in 13 weeks.
They'd be done on the 11th of August precisely. Which is a bit before the earliest possible release date we can expect at this point IMHO.

I do understand your frustation but if a bigger density is not given before release, I am quite confident we will be able to give it later. I do have a lot of bookmarks with information for India, we just lack time. Please be patient.

Game release this year 100%

In 4 months 95%

I win the entire argument ;)

Maybe im dumb and misunderstood things but wasnt your argument that some map reviews should be delayed until after release to get more work done on them?

To me it seems like they are still doing all the feedback before the game launch and then will continue working on stuff for future updates post release.

It was but then the goalposts changed into ”if they don’t delay feedback until after release then it 100% means that they are just rushing every region except Europe”.

Itd so funny. This is the most detailed PDX game ever by far. And we will have to wait for several new iterations to even match it.

But for some people is never enough. Jesus the entitlement. They are just locations. Add them in yourself.

If it was up to me i would reduce them. Performance is bad enough as it is and my PC cries every map review seeing they keep adding more and more.

It was proposal not the argument, my argument is tinto maps are rushed because game is releasing this year and there isnt enough time to finish them all

And I won as you can see from the quote

Also my proposal is kinda in effect ;)

As in recent tinto maps we either get tag or location rework

For Arabia, East Africa, Persia, West Africa these were only tag rework, meanwhile in India there were no tag change and location rework was limited to Southern India, so remaining Tinto maps will be continue to done nominally since game needs to release according to schedule

Fair enough

I just want more detail than eu4 in my home area, I don't feel like that is too much to ask. (Kuumeyay province in eu4 and Kumeyaay location in eu5 both roughly map onto San Diego county. Admittedly, the rest of Alta California roughly follows the general trend of eu4 and eu4 provinces being broadly similar. Considering the lack of detail in eu4's California though.)

Basically is the idea of 'can't please everyone' if tinto spends a few months extra preparing the game people will complain, if they rush release people will complain.

A funny one I saw was a guy saying it was disgraceful they didn't give more people access instead of the youtubers

Performance effects of more locations is very low

There is already 30000~ locations in Eu5, and additional 10000 locations will affect performance less than 5% because biggest performance monster is AI (by far)

1 - limits are good.
2 - currently most performance costs are ai related so hard to say.

I would rather game have 30000 additional locations than 1% intelligence increase for AI

Why should anybody take “rush release gang” serious? The entire point of tinto talks and maps is the opposite, which is gathering feedback from the “take your time and cook the game gang”

I understand what you mean but saying they can double locations or 1% better ai is obviously exaggerated. We have no idea how much better then can make the ai or how much streamlining can be done for the code.

Only the devs know the implications certain changes have on the game.

The only reason why anyone is taking the rush release people seriously is due to increased quantity of dev diaries, dev videos and a decent quality of the game from the videos

AI intelligence increase is exponential, location number increase is linear

The real "rush release gang" is the executives, the money people. I haven't seen more than a few non-exec people here clamouring for a quick release no matter what state the game will be in. That gang is a minority without power. The executives though, they are another story.

Oh man, I realised how long ago this thread was started. People felt it was rushed two months ago? What does that make of the last map feedback? Yikes
