Destroying Dredgers?

So I am currently stuck on the step to destroy the dredgers in the mystery mission. The log said the dredgers are vulnerable to oxygen, so first I tried running some pipes to the dredger, then unloading some fuel right next to it, but the drones just won't do anything to the dredger. Does anyone have any luck with this?

there is a button when you select the dredgers to destroy it. The description of this button should indicate you what to do.

I parked an RC with 4 drones right next to one and one of the dredgers landed right in the range of one of my drone hubs and nothing happened.

You have to research the first tech that tells you how to destroy them, then you can just mark them to be demoed by the drones, and doing so progresses the next tech

I figured it out. You have to select the vehicle and then click the button. Moving the RC drones next to it wasn't enough. I wish their mission text was more clear on this, cause what the text said made it seem like moving the RC next to it was all that's needed.

Ya. You have to click on the dredger, then click the KILL THIS THEIVIN' BASTAGE button to get rid of them.

Or there is possibly a peaceful option. If you are a coward. And still carry your blankie with you everywhere.
