It has been a very long time since a dev diary has been properly posted so I thought it would be a nice change for everyone to have one so here we have some of the new features for the next version.

The Bone Mountains
Far off in the east lies the Bone Mountains and the once united Hyrkooni states of Samyriana, Bayasabhadi and Kayakayanaya. They are ruled by a patriarchal society ruled by Great Fathers in which a single son of the ruler is chosen to succeed based on prevalent genetic traits, the rest of his sons are instead gelded and live out the rest of their lives in court serving normal tasks. No men fight in these lands instead only women, who fight bare-breasted and pierce their nipples with iron rings and cheeks with rubies, for only those who give life are permitted to take it at will. This has been reflected perfectly in game as they are agnatic succession only with events to geld unfit sons and a unique Hyrkooni ambition to have a son who is a suitable heir. They have also been given a unique decision to take any women they see fit as concubines due to the requirement for the Great Father to produce the strongest heir possible.

House Forrester
Thanks to the Game of Thrones telltale game a new house has been added into the North, House Forrester. Famous for their Ironwood and long blood feud with House Whitehill who serve under the Boltons. These dynasties have been in the mod before but not with any of the characters from the telltale game; now the family of House Forrester in it's current generation have been added in with appropriate changes to it's title history to represent what it goes through.

The portraits have not been finalised so if anyone has any dna codes they think would look correct then pm them to me.

Blood Feuds
Blood Feuds are a very key part to the lands of Wetseros and they have received some love in the upcoming version. The old show friends and rivals decision has been replaced with one to show the blood feuds you have with other dynasties and those in the rest of the world. Another feature is the ability to have multiple blood feuds which has been used in A Feast for Crows to allow the Starks to also have a blood feud with House Lannister. There is also now the ability for blood feuds to be ended by a gift or money or through a marriage of children.

Baelish Mockingbird
One of the key characters in the lands of Wetseros, Petyr Baelish, is unique in that he changes his coat of arms for his dynasty upon gaining sufficient lands during the course of A Feast for Crows. This has now been represented so upon Petyr Baelish getting the Riverlands he changes his coat of arms to be his mockingbird.

Other Changes
There are a few other miscellaneous changes such as general bug fixes which you can see in the changelog once we release it but a few of the better ones are:
  • R'hllor protection in duels
  • A tour of foreign lands for landless dynasty members
  • A faction to overthrow the monarchy and establish a republic
  • Many new flags

Feel free to ask any questions!

The Kayakayanaya's names sound pretty finnish to me: Hannu Paavola, Sakari Paavola, Eyni Malinen - is there any reason for that? Or maybe you Finns out there tell me that I'm mistaken...?

The names are Finnish(im from Finland so i know), except "Eyni", not sure where that name is from. Im wondering if these names will stay in the mod?
If i recall correctly the middle earth also had some Finnish names.

They were previously Arabic, a nameset which a few cultures in the east use. So I thought something a bit more unique/exotic would be good for the Bone Mountains, hence Finnish.
