Yes, it does. Indeed 1.3a is even required. ;)

Please direct to C.O.R.E Intro

Hi,

That is great: C.O.R.E. works with DD 3.1A.

For people looking around the MODs for one they want to invest time in, can you please direct to an Introduction to what C.O.R.E stands for, the MOD's timeline etc.

I've been reading through a lot of MODs, and C.O.R.E., going back as it does to HOI1, I haven't found this as yet.

thankyou

Im a little confused.

Yes, it does. Indeed 1.3a is even required.

yet from the download/install instructions it states 1.2

Current version: 0.25 - for Doomsday only!

Installation Instructions
Remember to patch your Doomsday installation to 1.2, if you haven't already, before installing CORE
1. Download the installer to a place where you can find it again (I recommend your desktop)
2. Start the installer by double-clicking on the downloaded file
3. Verify that the install path matches the location of your Doomsday 1.2 install
4. Complete the installation
5. Start the program using the desktop shortcut

I just did a clean reinstall of doomsday and wanted to try out core a little before .30 is released. So do I need to patch to 1.2, 1.3a, or Armageddon before installing core .25?

CORE is almost ready for the .30 Release. That release supports Doomsday (the most recent version)

I have Armaggedon, and most things work with the beta. It is not officially supported, but I have had few problems running both the newest Armageddon and CORE

Version 0.25 does run on 1.3a, IIRC. It has been a while though since I've been toying with it.

But given the fact that 0.30 is about to hit the streets it's probably better to wait until it does. It's far superior to 0.25, or at least it should be. :p

Given the fact that there are so few problems with core 0.3 and armageddon... do you guys have an idea how long until a full compatible core 0.3 with armageddon 1.1?

I spoke too soon. I have a minor issue, I really don't think it is a problem that hurts Armageddon horribly. It is compatible, it just wasn't designed to take advantage of Armageddon features. The attachments work with ships and such. Speaking personally, I would love to see how well it runs with more people playing it (Armageddon)-- I think I am the only beta with it at the moment.

Not as of yet, though I do expect us to start work on the ARM expansion pretty soon after the release of 0.30.

So, in theory with some beta's an no major issues it should be possible to have a fully compattible core version lets say about two to three months after 0.30 is released?

Well we have some changes to the naval side of things planned for the short term. ;)

So I would say in theory yes, but it's probably just that: a theory. :D We have had some discussion about moving towards ARM, but so far no definite timeline has been discussed at all, just the intention to do so.

In an attempt to anticipate possible problems (since I have Armageddon) I think building divisions with preattached brigades might be an issue, although just a minor one, since IIRC it's always the highest available model number that's get choosed. Hardly a game breaker but can be worth mentioning.

Not sure exactly what you mean.. I have had no problems with attachments-- of course, Most existing forces you start with already have attachments-- and The naval build program sucks up so many supplies, I usually hold of on building until I am at an acceptable lvl-- of course, I haven't played as Russia or Germany in awhile...

I was referring to the fact that in CORE you have brigades/attachments that have been divided in different models. Engineers for example, they have been divided into Logistical Engineers and Combat Engineers (unless this is changed in 0.30). If I'm able to build both Combat Engineer 1936 (level 0) and Logistical Engineer 1936 (level 5) and want to build, let's say 10 INF with pre attached Combat Engineers this is not possible since if I click on the ENG icon in the build screen the INF divisions will be built with Logistical Engineers instead because they have a higher model number. (i.e the highest model number will be the one choosen automatically, unless I'm totally mistaken)

As I said it's hardly a major issue and don't think there is much you can do about it. In any case that's one Armageddon feature that won't work 100% with CORE.
