Steps to reproduce​

Open road tool, draw a straight road, hover over middle of road, and double click to add/remove node

Expected Result​

Double clicking road segment would add/remove node prior to 1.3.3f1

Actual Result​

Nothing happens

bump! still an issue.

If you want to make new nodes at a station, eg, you can use road builder to make an exact copy of the road and just rename it to (2) or something, and upgrade the section you want.
