Hey there... in my current playthrough, I have twice experienced pretty much ALL of my drone hubs shutting down at the same time. This is crippling (though I've managed to twice recover).

Is this related to some kind of sabotage mechanic?

I suspected possibly resources not getting where they need to go, but I have many shuttle hubs and resources in all the major areas. Plus, it doesn't seem plausible for so many of a single building type to just shut down all at the same time.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

The only things I can think of that might cause this are:

1) You have run out of electronics to maintain your drone hubs. Unlikely, as this would cause them to shut down one by one, not all at once.
2) Dust devils have a nasty habit of bee-lining for a drone hub. If you only have 2 or 3, this could be the cause, but again, unlikely to take them all out.
3) You don't have enough drones assigned to each hub, meanng the drones are too busy to maintain the hub. You can never have too many drones! Again, unlikely to cause a mass-shutdown though.

Some general tips:
1) Always set your drone hubs to high priority, so they are serviced first. There is no point having other buildings on high priority if your drone hub shuts down because the drones are too busy servicing other buildings to service the hub itself.
2) Always overlap hub coverage. That way, if one shuts down, it is still in range of another hub which will, if hubs are set to high priority, soon repair the first hub
3) Always build a Universal Depot next to each hub to ensure electronics for maintenance are nearby. It also helps logistically, as drones need to recharge at the hub regularly, so building storage near the hub saves drones time.
4) Once you have tribiotic scrubbers, build 2 for each hub and make sure they overlap. This will eliminate any possibility of hubs breaking down due to no maintenance as the scrubbers will scrub the hub and each other.

Hope this helps
