Problems with save games and multiple ctds
In the 12 hours I have played this game, I have not had a save game that has worked properly for me. It seems to me the game is writing the saves incorrectly and corrupting them somehow, but I don't know really.
First time it happened, I was playing the Kingdom of Scotland. I had played about 40 years, starting at Hastings. I finished for the session and saved it. Next time I went to play it, I had opened it up and specified Scotland, and started loading it up. It was going along fine until the end of the loading (the part where you would usually go into the game), when it slowed dramatically and then ctded. I tried it again and it did the same thing. And again.
Next time I was playing Bavaria and for the first 38 years it was going fine. Then suddenly I ctded randomly. However I had autosave on, so I just loaded that up to continue. Loaded up, started the game, goes to about the same time as last time, and crash! Tried it again, noting the date this time, and it crashed on 24th of September, 1104.
Currently, none of my games have lasted more than 40-50 years.
Oh here's some specs of my PC: Intel Celeron 2.4 Ghz CPU, 256mb RAM, Windows XP.
