Oh no! Wish I hadn't read this. Well, beta testing hasn't started yet so I guess things are slipping from the March date shown earlier.:(

Yes but why must they tempt us by making it seem as though it will come out soon because they already list it. BTW, where did they find out that part about the evolutionary combat system?

All release dates so far have been mere guesses. Sergei has sais that release data won't be set until beta starts...

Didn't Sergei also say the beta would begin in September? And October? And November? And...:D

EU II also has an "Evolutionary" combat system - you evolve from swords to muskets to...well, you get the idea.;)

Yes but they also suggest unique units for each civ-that's something new

I dunno, it sounds like English longbowmen is a specific Unique unit, rather than generic archers

And Mongolian light cavalry too. Although other regions will presumably have light cavalry, maybe the Mongolian light cavalry will have different combat abilities. So English longbowmen may evolve in England from ordinary archers while in other areas it may take longer for their archers to progress from an ordinary bow to the longbow - and some who are more famous for the crossbow may never need to switch to the longbow. Then again, it could just be all a naming convention with no differences at all.:)

So you will order a copy from them now! Hurry before it is too late!

Thats right. They want you to reserve your copy today! Like they think these games are a limited edition and there won't be any more after the first day they are on the shelves.

I don't bother with that. I get it from the first store that has it available in my area. Of course, if you don't live in or near a big city you might have to order it rather than drive 50 miles to the one software store in your area, only to find they sold the one copy they had on the shelves only 5 min. before you got there.
