EIC in spanish.

I have bought the spanish version in DVD ROM, and I have a doubt: to activate the game, I need a computer with internet conexion ( thats not a matter); but after ¿ Can I install the game in a computer without internet conexion?

In the spanish forum there isn't a place for the support of this game: you presume that all people in Spain understand english?
Personally, english isn't my best language ( you can see it), but if I bought a game in spanish, and in the box you put the internet adress of that forum, I hope to find something in my language!

I can´t play the game; it crashes just after the intro videos. I presume that I need a patch. Where can I found it?

And I can´t install it in my other computer. So, I've paid twice for the game ( one time by gamersgate, and another for the DVD), and I can´t play with it where I want. In the box of the game you said that it requires an internet conexion to activate, but NOT to play it.

Perhaps in Sweden you have different laws to protect the customers, but I bought it in Spain, and I hope that the game accept the spanish laws.

My impression is that this forum does not have so very many active members. To divide it into several languages (english, spanish, french, german, swedish ....) will split it badly. There will be too few members to have lively discussions.

As for patches, there is a thread at the general forum called "Patch info" by Kim Soares, which describes how to patch.

But the fact is that no one, moderators included, has answer me about installation matters. I said that English isn't my best language: read a lot of threads to find something, it's impossible for me.

So, I will sent a letter to the Customers Department of the Spanish Government. This is not a menace, it is a fact.

I have just happened to find that there are non-english forums. Look at "Paradox Interactive Forums > Non-English Forums > Foros Españoles" for the spanish forum.

There is not a sub-forum for East India Company, or for Lost Empire; it is not the first time that I bought a Paradox Game in spanish and I do not found the technical support in the same language!

You can get the Spanish Patch 3 with the instructions here:

It should also be available through the in-game updating system (options->check for updates)
Make sure that EIC is not running when you install the patch.

The game needs an internet connection for installing as is stated in the dvd-package. However, you can contact Stardock support because there might be a way to install without an internet connection also:

Perhaps I don't understand very well english, but in spanish " Requiere activación por Internet", it seems ONLY Internet for activation, not, once "activated", I can't install it in my other PC ( with not conexion to Internet).

¿ Can we have this discussion in Spanish, French or Galician, please?

Hi! You can install the game on two computers but you need to activate it on both. Borrow the Internet connection from computer 1 to computer 2 and activate the game. You can afterwards play the game without Internet connection.
